This lesson still leaves me confused about which construction to use.
I took the quiz and got the answer wrong when I put 'Qu' est' instead of 'Quel est' – so I'm slightly confused because I thought that it should be Qu' since est starts with a vowel?
I wrote out « dix-septième siècle » instead of « XVIIe siècle », but was counted off for that. Is it not correct to spell out the ordinal numbers?
Thank you
When and how do we know when to place the word in a sentence ,it's so confusing
Why does the question asking for the conjugation of s'asseoir mark the answer "Nous nous assoyons" in favour of "Nous nous asseyons" when according to the LESSON on this subject provides both conjugations ?
Why t is pronounced in ´en fait ´ ?Thank you
This sentence in English should be either "next year I'm going to the Alps with you", or "next year I'm coming to the Alps with you" (depending on the speaker's location at the time of speaking). There are structures which use 'in' but I suspect they are more complex than wanted for this exercise.
Suggest change the English, with a clue such as "French - in the Alps". This ensures better English, and reinforces that preposition use is different between French and English.
(As always, there may be regional English usage differences, but I am not aware of that being the case here)
Why not say “ en voiture” instead of “monte dans la voiture”?
Pourriez-vous expliquer l'exemple "Nous n'habitons pas ici depuis très longtemps.", s'il vous plait ?
Merci
