De + Qui , A + QuiWhen translating a sentence into French is there a way to decide if I use a + qui of De + Qui etc. In some of the B2 questions I am not sure of the correct grammar. To me xx could be that, of whom, whom, about which etc.. Perhaps its just any of the above.

Le héros?I just realized that it's un héro but le héros. Is there a reason for that? Are there any other nouns that have different spellings for the same gender going from un to le? Thanks.

Past participles as adjectivesIn the example soyez decus, the past participle operates as an adjective . Are there any restrictions on this use? Is it possible to use any past participle that fits the bill?
