But when is it Avoir vs Etre? I cant seem to learn the rule for this

I got this question wrong in a test on another site. Unfortunately no explanation was given. Can someone tell me why there is no agreement when faire is used in this case as a past participle ?

Les modifications que j'ai faites apporter au projet sont approuvées. (Marked wrong)

Les modifications que j'ai fait apporter au projet sont approuvées. (The right answer)

This question doesn't direct us to use a specific verb. It only gives us the english "to hate" so why can't we use hair? Sorry can't figure out the accents on my keyboard.

Hello, on the site it is written "assoyiais" for the 1st Person Plural Imperfect - modern form. Shouldn't it be assoyions?

Please, could someone clarify the rule regarding the following:

Shouldn't "If you could" be translated with the conditional "vous pourriez"? The grammar lesson following this phrase recommends the conditional not the imparfait.
