This question doesn't direct us to use a specific verb. It only gives us the english "to hate" so why can't we use hair? Sorry can't figure out the accents on my keyboard.

Bonjour Teresa,
Are you referring to this test question: Nous ___ là. (We don't hate that she is there.) ?
If so, it does accept the verb haïr. Take a look here: I have the same question about haïr. Why is it wrong?
