Hello All,

This is a general query and not to do with Kwizbot particularly.  I've just this morning begun to write a daily journal in French and wish to check it's English translation.  I just used a well-known site, R*****o  (just in case one cannot name names) and was very disappointed in the translations. For example, 'petit-dejeuner' resulted in 'little-lunch' instead of 'breakfast' :-(  And if I had taken it any further? I shudder to think!

To my question: does anyone know of a reliable service that can deal with large tracts of text?

Can I translate:

"These experiences would make me a better cook,"

as

"Ces expériences *me feraient* un meilleur cuisinier,"

[the given answer which I am not arguing with = "Ces expériences *feraient de moi* un meilleur cuisinier,"]

Can I use "avec aucun d'entre eux" 

For example

I refused to share the money with any of them.    J'ai refusé de partager l'argent avec aucun d'entre eux.

Il ne joue pas souvent au foot, et toi ? -Je n'y joue pas souvent non plus.

I don’t play often either.

This is one of the examples above.

This lesson says to use the gerund to express "while" AND "by".  But all your examples use "while"...small thing but it would help the learning process if the examples would demonstrate both usages!

The word  protegea is non existent in any dictionary. Could it be:

Can you give me some guidance on when to use mal as an adjective.  I wrote "le reste du casting n'avait pas l'air mauvais". 

I believe it is similar to bon v. bien as an adjective.  I read somewhere that bon is used to describe taste, smell, physical sensation or a person's level or quality  Otherwise, use bien as the adjective.  Is this correct and does it apply to mauvais v. mal?  Thanks.
