Also, why cannot 'le temps' be used to say "now it's time to..." ?  The correct answer was l'heure. 

The following sentence in the lesson under subtitle "[un] peu de" is unclear: Used with uncountable quantities, un peu de means a little, a bit of ... and peu de means little, not much of, few. It sounds like the uncountable quantities phrase refers to both un peu de and to peu de. This doesn't jive with the two examples that follow, in that, while argent is not countable (can't have 4 moneys), ami is countable (can have 4 friends). Stephanie's comment in the discussion section clears this up, where she says Peu is few as in not many/much, and you can use that with countables and uncountables alike. I'm suggesting that the lesson sentence should be reworded to make this point clear.

Pour "How I wished things were different" les réponses étaient "Comme j'aurais aimé que les choses soient différentes !" et "Qu'est-ce que j'aurais aimé qu'il en soit autrement !"   Je ne comprends pas qu'est-ce que dans ce contexte.  Pouvez-vous me donner d'autres exemples?   Merci.

In the translation of "Before I applied for my current position...", you used postuler.   Is "faire une demande de" not a possibility ?

A woman is speaking, so why is there no agreement, i.e. faite, in this use of the reflexive se faire?

I question why "pres" was marked incorrect in this exercise. As I understand it, "à côté de" means exactly next to, whereas in placing a vase I would be putting it near the bed, probably on a bedside table or similar, so more correctly it would be "pres du lit"? 

I understand that une soirée indicates the duration of the evening, while un soir indicates the general time of day, but given this is a Level 1 quiz, is that not a bit advanced for this level? As far as I recall the only context given in Level one for "une soirée" was for an evening function or party. I was marked wrong for using choisissez rather than choisis, presumably because choisissez is too advanced for this level?
