I have listened to the audio in question Teltas, and 'recoudre' is pronounced correctly by French native people.

Bonne Continuation!

Je suis d'accord avec Teltas. It sounds like the speaker is saying a "v" sound,as in "vos", rather than the "r" in "recoudre".  I had not written down the word suggestions, so I couldn't look back at them to get a hint. After playing the sound several times, I settled on the phrase 'vaut coudre' as is "Ca vaut mieux", or "Ca vaut la peine", thinking that maybe the shopkeeper was telling her that it was worth it to take the effort to sew her jacket by hand. "Vous devriez vaut coudre a la main..." I know the construction wasn't grammatically correct, but thought maybe it was an idiomatic expression and gave it a try.

I am curious to know - how would one say: "It's worth it to sew by hand" ?

"Ca vaut la peine de la recoudre, (or la coudre), a la main." ?

Merci pour votre aide.
