Writing Structure in general
This question relates to:French lesson "Avoir [nombre] ans = To be [number] years old (French Expressions with avoir)"
Asked 4 years ago
Hi Alfonso,
Both Spanish and French come from the same family of languages called 'Romance languages' which have Latin as a common ancestor. They share a lot of grammar and similarity in vocabulary.
English comes from another branch of our family of languages (the Indio- European group ), the West Germanic subgroup, hence the differences between English and French.
Hope this helps!

Romance languages also belong to the Indo European family, by the way.
