Why isn’t “Quelle une bonne idée” an acceptable answer as it is the most literal translation?
Why not BONNE idée?

Hi Betsy,
Quelle bonne idée!
(*note no ‘une’ )
would be correct for
What a good idea!
The English was
What a great idea!
Hope this helps!

I would have written "Quelle bonne idée !" as it is more commonly used and with an exclamation conveys all the meaning of 'what a great idea' as used in English. There are options to use 'super' or 'géniale'.
