Deborah, ‘ il ‘ is the subject in the sentence. ‘ Te ‘ is the (indirect) object pronoun. ‘ Tu’ can only be used as a subject pronoun.

 Me/te/nous/vous = Me/you/us/you (French Direct and Indirect Object Pronouns)

“ Plaire á “ can be a ‘difficult’ verb for English language speakers to get their head around !

 Expressing you like something/someone in French with the verb "plaire"
