Bonjour Martin,

"parler de ce drole de mot réveillion"   --> to talk about this odd / strange word "réveillion"

https://www.wordreference.com/fren/r%C3%A9veillon

The term drôle here (chose singuliére) is not thinking of the word as funny or bizarre but more as strange or odd given that it is referring to an Xmas Eve or New Year's Eve dinner.

This is my understanding  --  hope you find it helpful.

Bonne journée

Jim

drôle de mot -- oddity of word; you may think of drôle as being used as a noun here even though, in reality, it is an adjective.

Why "ce drôle de mot" rather than "ce drôle mot" or "ce mot drôle"?
