Why aimer not s'amuser for enjoy

Question

I really enjoyed the extra space in this i used je me suis vraiment amusé l'espace supplémentaire why it is marked wrong for enjoying something we use s'amuser please explain

Hi Sumesh, 
This is because the verb 's'amuser' is intransitive and cannot have an object but you could use 'apprécier' instead of 'aimer which are transitive.

You couldn't use s'amuser' because it cannot have an object so if you need to translate to enjoy something you will use 'aimer' or apprécier.
