Hi all,

They mean the same thing , just different ways of expressing then -

“Je suis allée en courses, puis je suis passée à la banque et ensuite je suis rentrée chez moi.”

Hope this helps!

Ensuite is for something that happened either after or right after when puis means « then »

Hope that helps

Puis is a conjunction - so used to join related sentences together (j’ai fait les courses puis j’ai regardè la télé). Ensuite is an adverb (describes how an action is done) so can be used within or at the end of a single sentence (j’ai fait les course et j’ai regardé ensuite la télé) or (j’ai fait les courses et j’ai regardé la télé ensuite).
