Peut-on utilise "Dès lors" dans la phrase "D'ici là, je devrais être prêt pour une longue sieste"

et pour j'ai décidé de prendre la situation en main

on peut écrire "j'ai décidé de maîtriser la situation ?

Chris is correct that "maîtriser la situation" wouldn't work here as it is indeed focusing on "result of having successfully taken charge of it".
Dès lors would not work either as it means more "since then".

I think that dès lors would also be a possibility but may belong to a different register than d'ìci là.To your second question:prendre la situation en main -- to take charge of the situationmaîtriser la situation -- to master the situationIn the sentence you quote, the speaker decides to take charge of the situation. Strictly speaking, you can't decide to master the situation. That would be the result of having successfully taken charge of it. But that may be splitting hairs.
