Still confused with "dans" and "en"

The model provides this sentence:

Nous mangerons dans une heure.

But a quiz corrected my response of

Nous mangerons dans trente minute seulement.

With

Nous mangerons en trente minute seulement.

My understanding was that "will" was the cue for "dans", but evidently not.  Any clarification will help.  Thanks.

Nous mangerons dans une heure. -- We will eat in one hour. So, if it is 9:00 now, we will start eating at 10:00.

Nous mangerons en une heure. -- We will eat within one hour. It it's nine 9:00, we are going to be finished by 10:00.
