Spelling of "weekend" in French?

I thought the French spelling for "weekend" was normally "week-end". Has this changed to "weekend" in recent times?

This question relates to:French dictation exercise "Ouch! It burns!"

In think both is actually possible, with the hyphenated form in more widespread use.
