Shouldn't be "Nous avons tous chanté ensemble."?

According to a lesson, "tous" should be placed between the auxiliary verb and the past participle

Nous avons tous chanté ensemble. -- We all sang together.

But the translation in the lesson is "We all sang together."

As you can appreciate, the two meanings are very close. Maybe the translation given in the lesson ought to be changed to avoid confusion.
