Reviewing previous levels

Reviewing previous levels

When I have moved up a level, from what I understand Kwiziq will not test me on anything from previous levels unless I switch back to the level.  My general question is this: how often do people review and improve previous levels?  But more specifically:

I think I read on here somewhere that the suggested time to move up is when you achieve 75% in a level. Is it recommended to return often, e.g. every day or two, until getting it up to 100%, or less frequently?

Finally, when lower levels are at 100%, how often is it recommended to return to them?

Hi Jeff,

This kind of query should be directed to the helpdesk who should be able to help you.

Hi Jeff,

I assume that you receive regular "brain map" emails to highlight suggested improvement areas?

These are designed to tutor you where any weaknesses are detected by the AI.

The decision of whether or not to act upon these recommendations is up to you.

I don't know of any recommendations that suggest returning to a particular level or lesson. Decisions of when or frequency are up to you  --  it's your journey for you to manage as you see fit.

That's my experience - hope it helps.

Jim

I guess I thought this was also a Q&A forum about Kwiziq. Is there one elsewhere, for example where users can share their experience with using Kwiziq?

Hi Jeff,

Anything to do with how the system works should be posted via the Helpdesk but this doesn't mean other users are prevented from answering your query and sharing their own experiences on the Q&A.

Hi Cécile,

My question is not a technical question about how the website works, it is a pedogogical question about learning. Many features of Kwiziq are quite opaque and in my experience of language learning it has always been helpful to discuss with other learners how they like to use learning tools. For example, on the website https://forum.language-learners.org/ there is a good, and mostly positive, discussion of Kwiziq and how to use it.

However, my frustration with "non-answers" on the Kwiziq forum itself has made me decide not to renew my subscription and to find other ways to review French grammar.

Kwiziq is a good website with a lot of potential, but user experience needs improvement. I may subscribe again someday. Who knows?
