"Qualifying something.... for a usage"

qualifying something as good/better/the best for a usage


Sorry, but I have absolutely no idea what "for a usage" actually means in the context of an adjective. Can someone very kindly clarify ?

Indeed, I apologise for the lack of clarity there. What I meant here is that "bon/meilleur" is used to qualify the "efficiency" of a thing, i.e. that it's good/better at what it does (hence the awkward "usage"). For example:

J'ai un bon ordinateur.
I have a good computer (i.e. good at what it does)
