This is not a literal translation - French colour names and English colour names do not necessarily align perfectly in 'word meaning'. Bleu canard is a common name for this colour in French, but in English, colours in the same blue-green range are referred to by different names, including 'peacock blue' or 'duck-egg blue' etc. Colours, and their names, are always subjective, which is why there are accepted objective standards for colours - using numbers !
