Bonjour Kathleen !

The possessive following "on" depends on whether "on" refers to a defined group (we) or if it's used in a more general way (people).

Here's the link to our related lesson, that I realised thanks to you was not linked to the exercise. This has now been rectified :)
Use "notre" or "son" with "on"

I hope that's helpful!

Bonne journée !

Hi Kathleen,

"we'll each have our own room"

Each person will have their own room   --> on aura chacun son propre chambre

or we could say "One will have one's own room"

Hope this helps.

Jim

notre or son?

on aura chacun son propre chambre.

on aura chacun notre propre chambre.
