Need clarification between "sur" and "dans"
In Larousse "Je suis sur l'avion" is acceptable.

Bonjour William !
"Je suis sur l'avion." would mean "I'm on top of the plane." in French, but would never be used to say "I'm on the plane" in the sense of being inside it.
