Masculine and feminine

If a bag (sac) is described as heavy wouldn't it be lourd not lourde as sac is masculine?

This question relates to:French lesson "Most adjectives can be made feminine by adding -e in French"

Yes, Sandra, it would be -

un sac lourd = a heavy bag

but 

une valise lourde = a heavy suitcase
