Bonjour Vidhi,
There are many French words to explain what Art in English is.
If you are studying 'fine arts' at degree level, it would be "les Beaux Arts" which describes the classical and traditional academic study of Art in general.
Within the broad subject of ' Les Beaux Arts' are 'le dessin' which is primarily the art of 'drawing' so one dimensional and ' les arts plastiques' which are more dimensional - think of Sculpture, Architecture, Ceramics, etc. artistic disciplines where artists express themselves by concentrating on form and their visual effects.
This is a relatively modern term ( 1969) and I believe it even encompasses digital art nowadays but I am no expert on the subject.
Bonne Continuation !
