Salut! Merci beaucoup!
Les cloches apportent?

It is a custom that on Good Friday the church bells stop to be rung. Only on Easter Sunday, when we play the game of hiding eggs, they sound again. The narrative behind it is that on Good Friday the bells fly off to Rome only to return on Easter Sunday. And the coincidence of the egg hunt as well as the church bells ringing again is sometimes put together into the story that the bells brought the eggs with them. I never heard of them hiding the eggs, though.
Although this, today, is a quintessential Christian holiday, it is based on a much older pagan celebration of life and fertility.
