Hi... I was wondering why i have to put Je viens de + (city) instead of Je Viens à + (City) ? like J'habite à Paris.. Isn't it for city i have to put à ?

Je viens de Vienne. -- I come from Vienna.
Je viens à Vienne. -- I'm coming to Vienna.

If you want to say that you are at a city or going to a city, you use à. But coming from a city is de.
