Why not "finalement"?

Hi Sean,

I have asked for 'finalement' to be added to the possibilities.

Thank you for pointing this out.

Sure, finalement is a possibility, too.

Is there a difference between the two words?  Is "enfin" used when it is an outcome we expected and "finalement" when it is not an expected outcome?  Or is that my misunderstanding?  Thanks.  One of the many quirks in French.

Here is a more in-depth differentiation between the two: https://franzoesisch.yabla.com/lesson-Finalement-or-Enfin-805

Chris, thanks.  So is "enfin" the preferred word because it was a job that she wanted/expected to get? Or is it "finalement" because she did not expect to get the job? This is similar to the problem I have deciding whether to use "attendre" or "s'attendre a" where you waiting for an outcome versus dreading an outcome.
