j'ai adoré mon hamburger

This sounds like an opinion to me. I thought it should be in the imparfait. Could someone kindly shed light on this for me?

Bonjour Andrea,

J'ai adoré mon hamburger I loved my hamburger

-> you are reflecting on how much you enjoyed the hamburger but the action (of "eating/savouring") is now over. Remember that Le Passé Composé is used for  past actions/events that happened once, with a clear beginning and end.

J'adorais mon hamburger I loved (used to love) my hamburger

-> you are giving your opinion about the hamburger as if it’d been a teddy bear or a person that/whom you could not live without. You're insisting on the fact that this situation was ongoing then, describing the situation.

I hope this is helpful.

Bonne journée !
