Hi Ann,

Having just done the exercise I can confirm that this sentence is correct in PC. There is a good mix of different tenses to relate this story in the past and reflecting on the experience the narrator says -

We weren't disappointed nous n'avons pas été déçus

Difficult to justify as so instinctive but I hope this helps!

Nous n'avons pas été déçus is perfect tense, passive voice: We were not disappointed.

Thanks for your answer, but I'm not sure I get it. I would chose the same the next time unless I can see what is wrong with my thinking.

I guess you're asking wy the passé composé and not the imparfait, right? The sentence speaks about a specific event in the past, therefore the passé composé.

I suppose you have to think of the idea 'we weren't disappointed' not as an ongoing state of mind but more as a one-off event that didn't happen...

In the third line :nous n'avons pas été déçus du tout! I used n'étions pas déçu du tout thinking this was an opinion or a description of their

feelings at the time....why am I wrong?
