The last sentence -
Et toi, où habites-tu ? = What about you, where do you live?
can only be a question so not sure what you mean...
Just the finishing of a dialogue, why would it end with a question that's all.
Interesting observation! The structure is used often in teaching where a narrator talks to an audience and tells the audience about something, and then at the end says “What about your situation?”. I hadn’t really noticed that this device was being used in a conversation between two people until you mentioned it, leaving a question unnaturally hanging at the end.
