Futur vs Futur Anterior after Quand

Question

For the two questions below I answered them both in he future anterior. What is the difference between these? Why aren't both of them in the future anterior?
Quand tu ________ d'avis, tu m'appelleras.When you change your mind, you'll call me. Answer - changeras (future)
________ une décision, vous serez les premiers au courant.When I've made a decision, you'll be the first to know.Answer - Quand j'aurai pris (future anterior)

Hi James,Very tricky!I think the key is whether the action after "quand" will or will not be, complete before the following part of the total sentence.If, after quand; it will be complete; then future, if not then future anterior.When I am (future) old (complete) then something will happen (future)Otherwise: When I will have become old (future anterior) then something following will have happened (future anterior)Does my offer make sense to you?Hope it helps.Jim

Thanks for your answer Jim. Although with that rational I'm still struggling to differentiate between the two scenarios.

When you change your mind (so the action would be complete after changing their mind)

When I've made a decision (again, the action would be complete after the quand)

So I'm still struggling to grasp this.
