Enlacées or S’enlacées

Since girls are hugging each other… why are we not using s’enlacées  ?

Hi Manpreet Kaur,

When you use the past participle on its own you drop the reflexive pronoun.

Take other verbs in the following example using s'asseoir and se désaltérer -

elles se sont assises près de la fontaine pour se désaltérer. Une fois assises et désaltérées elles ont décidé de sortir leur téléphone de leur poche  = They sat down next to the fountain to quench their thirst. Once seated and having quenched their thirst, they decided to take their telephone out of their pocket.

Bonne continuation !
