Échapper or S’échapper
This question relates to:French writing exercise "Robbery at the bakery"
Asked 1 year ago

Hi Manpreet Kaur,
The two verbs mean slightly different things -
échapper à quelque chose / à quelqu'un (transitive) = to escape / to avoid something or someone
s'échapper = to flee - to escape
Hope this helps!
