Ce soir, je fais à dîner
This question relates to:French lesson "Expressing immediate and near-future actions with the present tense (Le Présent) in French"

Hi Elijah,
You could say
Je fais le dîner = I am making dinner
or even
Je fais à manger = I am cooking
but not
je fais du diner
Bonne Continuation!
