Can you add a slower speed to the dictation?

The commentary is simply too fast. May I suggest that you have a slower speed, in addition to the present one. Duolingo does this, and I find I need to break down the words -- then, I can play the faster speed, as I know conversations aren't done in a slow speed. But, as of now, the words simply run together and I can't discern individual words.

Hi Marcia,

You don't specify which dictation you are referring to but if you'd like to elucidate we can take a look at its particular speed.

At Kwiziq, we tend to adapt the speed of the recordings to the level of the text itself, in order to make the whole exercise a good practice of that level. If the text is a A1/A2/B1 level, the audio speed is slightly slower and more articulated than would naturally occur. Our B2 and C1 texts tend to be at a natural speed, as well as our video transcripts which are based on "Native" videos. Try to listen to it several times. Don't pressure yourself into getting it right the first time. Once you know what is being said, go over it again. Repeat until you can understand every word.

It's a painstaking process, but in the end, it will pay off.
