Better verb choice?

Wouldn't ramener be a better verb that rentrer?  Or at least it seems to me.  And as an English speaker, no one would say that they "put back" a car into a garage.

This has been discussed recently. The use of ‘ put the car ( back ) in the garage ‘ is common in some parts of the native English speaking world, not in others apparently.

Regardless of regional differences in English usage, the colloquial French expression here is definitely ‘ rentrer la voiture … ‘., while ‘ ramener la voiture .. ‘ has a different meaning, as Cécile covers well in her response in the link below.
