I have found it useful to translate rappeler as 'recall'. It's synonymous with remind, but its English language grammar is more similar to rappeler- you recall x to someone , you remind x of someone - and rappeler surely has a root in appeler, to call, re-appeler, recall. Helpful?

Why is it "vous vous êtes forcément posé la question" and not "vous vous êtes forcément posés la question" since the verb is reflexive and in the compound past tense? Is it because the writer intends the "vous" as signaling a singular subject?

Why does "CP" correspond to "first grade"? How are French grade levels named?

Correct answer : de peur qu'il n'y ait une fuite de gaz.  Can de peur qu'il ne soit une fuite de gaz be used to mean the same thing ?

How does personne work in a sentence written in past tense?

How would someone say “nobody believed me” for example? Is it “ne m’a cru personne” or should it be something different?

Dissimulé dans ma chambre, j'avais lié (or attaché) les fleurs avec un joli nœud.

Why do we have this hint? What would change if the speaker were female?
