Why is 'en' used here?

First thing  --  welcome aboard.

The form of this verb offrir is "offrir (qch) à (qqu)" so to take your query "Pierre m'en a offert."

The subject:  "Pierre", Indirect object: "me" and "en" pronoun which represents some of "it" or "them" (de cela).
