Why does the following sentence require the use of the subjunctive, please?

Here the correct answer would be "C'est l'émission la plus drôle que nous ayons jamais regardé!": indeed here "jamais" is used as "ever" and doesn't need the "ne".
This is a special Superlative case, -> "the most ___ that I've ever seen", which is always followed by Le Subjonctif Passé. You use Le Subjonctif here as there's no certainty that you won't watch anything funnier "ever".
