Actually, "la Dordogne" is a French region, therefore it takes "en", as explained in the following lesson:
En, dans = In, to with regions, states, counties (prepositions)

Weekend challenge
Why is it "en Dordogne" rather than " à Dordogne"? I have bee learning " en," for countries and "à" for cities/towns. Is that not how it is?
