Without the translation, I wouldn't have had a ghost of a chance of understanding this.

Indeed, B1 was a bit too optimistic here, but Thanks to your feedback, we watched the video again and noticed the idiomatic nature of the speech, and we've now updated the level to C1, which is definitely more appropriate here :)

To be fair, Ian, this is listed as a reading exercise, not a listening exercise. That makes the video supplementary material - good to have but not the main game.
I don’t think the intention here is to focus on listening without reading the text alongside the audio. If it was, then agree that this would definitely be too much of a stretch for B1 level.
