To enjoy food

To enjoy food

I translated ' to enjoy the delicious traditional meal' as ' pour se régaler du délicieux repas traditionnel'

I understood 'se régaler' was used to express the enjoyment of food rather than just eating it.

Bonjour Pamela,

in this instance, we would not use "se régaler" as it is not a transitive verb (it cannot have an object).

You can use "se régaler" to mean "to enjoy food" as a general statement:

Je me suis régalé I enjoyed the food

I hope this is helpful.

Bonne journée !
