Subjonctif passé for "jusqu'à ce que"?

Could you say "jusqu'à ce que j'aie trouvé la personne" instead of "jusqu'à ce que je trouve la personne"?

Bonjour Ethan,

Le Subjonctif présent is correct here. If you had Le Subjonctif Passé, it would imply that he keeps on knocking at people's door until after he has found the item he is looking for.

I hope this is helpful.

Bonne journée !

Hi Ethan,

No! I don't think so.      Why? The situation of going from door to door looking for the recipient of the parcel is not a completed event it is a continuous action.

I believe that "jusqu'à ce je trouve ..." is correct.

Jim
