Pronunciation at end of sentence

Pronunciation at end of sentence

"Excellent ! Combien de kilos vous faut-il ?"

It sounded very much like he added an 'a' sound to the end of this sentence ("faut-il-a"). Is it common to hear this in spoken French?

In my experience, yes, it is very common to hear this little extra "uh" sound and the end of some words.  Years ago I was listening to an interview with a Parisian man who did this so excessively that it's become a running joke between me and my husband who doesn't even speak French and could still hear the exaggerated nature of it!
