Present or past tense with a reflexive verb

Question

I understand from the disucssion that you can use depuis with the present tense or passé composé but I have this question:
Depuis quand est-ce que vous êtes vous mariés ? ( a point in time in the past)
Asking a person who is married how long they've been married (and still are): Vous êtes vous mariés depuis 30 ans? (Past tense so does this mean they're no longer married?)  or, should you say, Vous êtes mariés depuis 40 ans? (still married).
This always trips me up so thank you ahead of time for your help!

You cannot say “Depuis quand est-ce que vous vous êtes mariés ?"
but rather :

Quand est-ce que vous vous êtes mariés ? / quand vous êtes-vous mariés ?
Nous nous sommes mariés en [specific year]

→ a specific point in time in the past - Le Passé Composé
 
Also, you cannot say “Vous êtes-vous mariés depuis 40 ans?”. Instead, you can say:
Vous êtes mariés depuis 40 ans ? = Have you been married for 40 years?
Êtes-vous mariés depuis 40 ans ? = Have you been married for 40 years?
-> you are still married – Le Présent
OR
Vus avez été mariés pendant 40 ans ?= Were you married for 40 years?
-> you are no longer married - Le Passé Composé
Jim’s suggestions are great:

Ça fait combien de temps que êtes-vous mariés ? Ça fait [...] ans = How long have you been married? It’s been […] years
Depuis combien de temps êtes-vous mariés ? Nous sommes mariés / je suis marié(e) depuis [...] ans = How long have you been married?

-> Both examples are in Le Présent which implies you are still married
