How do you say in French in order not to or so as not to? For example: In order not to be tired, I went to bed early. Is there a specific pattern we have to use to say this?

Pour ne pas être fatigué, je me suis couché tôt. -- In order not to be tired, I went to bed early.

Pour qu'il ne soit pas fatigué il s'est couché tôt. -- So that he would not be tired, he went to bed early.
