pour jouer aux jeux vidéos

I often find it difficult to know whether to use [le/la/les] or [du/de la/des]. I do know the difference, and mostly it's obvious, but sometimes it seems to be optional. Take the case here, at the end of the exercise.... pour jouer aux jeux vidéos, as opposed to ... pour jouer à des jeux vidéo. Any advice please?

I understand that "aux" is used instead of "a les",  just like "du" is used instead of "de le".  Please note that "a" has an "accent grave", but I can't get my keyboard to produce the symbol in this space.

here pls refer the contracted articles with the preposition a/de used with the verb jouer. Jouer au cricket, jouer au foot but with musical instruments, its jouer de la guitare etc. Thats why its jouer aux( a + les)  jeux videos
