Only difference is acc

I answered “ Les invités sont-ils arrivé? “. The correct answer is “ Les invites sont-ils arrivé?”.  The only difference is the accent aigu in les invités.  I am confused.  The dictionary says “ les invités".

I would expect the correct answer to be: les invités sont-ils arrivés? With the -s in arrivés matching the masculine plural form of les invités.
