"mes vestes légères" liaison !

There is no liaison here - that can only happen with a following vowel or h muet.  There is a “proper” pronunciation of “vestes”, more commonly heard in some regions than others, and more commonly heard when people are reading or speaking slowly, than in rapid “street” French.

It often catches me wondering as well, but having been to the south of France, I have heard this form of pronunciation a lot!
