Liaison dans "il faut entrer dans la tête"

Liaison dans "il faut entrer dans la tête"

In the first paragraph and the phrase "il faut entrer dans la tête .." I'm hearing the "t" of "faut" being pronounced.

As there is a "verbe + verb infinitif" situation my understanding is that liaison is forbidden.

However, the "t" sounded does not appear to link across to "entrer".

I would really appreciate some comment !

Brendan,

the liaison is not forbidden, it is only ‘ optional ‘.

News reports etc are often in more formal language and optional liaisons are therefore more likely to be used, as in this case. The pronunciation of the liaison sounds pretty much as expected to me.

Native speakers rarely make mistakes with liaisons.
